The Farm and Rural Legal Service provides advice and assistance to Queensland rural producers who have severe debt related problems or are in dispute with their lenders, or are otherwise facing financial hardship which relates to their business of primary production. Also provides legal advice relating to farming matters for primary producers and small business operators closely linked to primary production.

The Mackay Regional Community Legal Centre Inc. (MRCLC) provides free and confidential legal information, advice and referral throughout the Mackay Regional Council, Whitsunday Regional Council and Isaac Regional Council areas. The Centre offers a service by appointment 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, either by telephone or face to face.
Legal advice evenings are staffed by volunteers on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Volunteer solicitors, migration agent and social workers provide legal information, advice, referrals and counselling to members of the community by appointment.

This is a free, impartial and confidential mediation service provided by the Department of Justice and Attorney-General as an alternative to the legal system. We provide assistance in managing most kinds of disputes including neighbours (e.g. fences, trees, barking dogs), separation and other family issues and commercial disputes (including debts and dissolving partnerships).
